Meantime it's still filthy politics, just like the backroom boyz of the pine lobby being given their way against BC forestry, it's doing the damage to markets just the same, ripping off consumers and soiling for all time the name of the administration that stoops this low You posted this Krauthammer piece - #reply-19100999 ... same sort of ethic seems to apply here, K ignores a few glaring factors in pursuit of the neocon agenda du jour, like for instance the fact known now for years that a goodly slice of liberians would welcome a US presence, they've been crying out for one for years ..... this same guy K, was he one of the bunch claiming iraquis would strew rose petals for the paths of US tanks? [i betcha, sounds like eh] His whole slant here is to justify the neocon idiocy in re Iraq ..... well it won't wash, especially the part about independent democracies getting conned into the 'our way or the highway' routine in military occupation of a muslim nation where they weren't invited and where they didn't get any say whatsoever into what action would be applied or how or its timing or anything ..... 'yer with us or yer agin us', pffft mister Krauthammer, you can stand there and shout till the end of time, but if you want cooperation you must first get dialogue, and for that you need to learn to listen not just dictate
