Liberals have done a terrible job of explaining that conundrum.

But they are working their little heinies off in trying to pawn off any responsibility THEY BEAR for confirming all of these facts to their own satisfaction.

That's why we have separation of powers. The Congress has its own intelligence committee and all of their members and staff have requisite security clearances to verify that US intelligence assessments are the most accurate possible.
