But this "knowing for a fact" is a different fact, than the fact of it being true- which is the point I was making. The idea of the something, where that thing obviously differs from what we can see actually happened, is something different. I would never deny the affects of the ideas about the world which are incorrect, I've seen too much evidence of their affects- but an idea that seems to have some relation to what happened, and an idea that doesn't, are very different things (for me anyway, but maybe I'm just deluded, and maybe that doesn't matter, if my idea is just as potent even if it doesn't match up to anything concrete).

Then again, maybe we are saying the same thing, but I wasn't sure.
