Scott, I went to a BK creditors hearing one time. They went through about 15 BKs the day I was there. I was the only creditor, I guess most of them figure it is not worth the time. You are right, a bunch of people who cannot handle their finances. I knew enough about my debtor to figure out several assets she had "forgotten" to include on the asset/debt forms that had to be filled out. Unfortunately it still was not enough for me to get anything back. There were other assets that had not been included, but I could not prove them. Of course this was a personal BK, and I only lost $7K that I had not counted on getting anyway. I assume you lost a bit more. My condolences.
