The rightist attack Hillary because it is what they have been taught to do. Rightists who started out as dittoheads and have been brought up on right wing media (radio and FOX) have been taught one simple lesson: always attack. They are the Pattons of the political world. Why? Because it is effective. If you are constantly attacking, constantly distorting the truth, you keep your opponent on the defensive. For anyone who has ever played Go seriously, they know how effective holding sente is. They attack Hillary constantly with unsubstantiated attacks that have no merit, but they do so with such fervor and frequency that it becomes a mantra. Reasonable people rarely understand the minds of these unreasonable people, and fall into the trap of assuming that they must have some substance, when what they mostly have is bluster. The relentless attacks allow them to shield the shortcomings of their party. However, sente is shifting from the right to the left. As the right becomes gote, we'll see what goats they throw to the wolves...
