Dear Old Friends: Sorry not to have visited these parts for some time. Mr. P$nk became disillusioned with His investment skills or lack thereof with his recently failed short positions. Fortunately, although He has taken a hiatus from the short side, His positions in post bankrupt equities and energy related securities have propelled His fund to new highs. He can not recommend taking any new positions even in the securities in which He is long at this time. However, He does advise that His loyal, if not wretched minions review the financial characteristics of the larger Canadian energy companies.: Canadian Natural, Talisman, Penwest for they all generate generous amounts of cash and are reasonably valued. Beyond that, it does seem more difficult than ever to find short ideas that work and He advises all to enjoy life to the fullest this summer. Thanks to those who have asked about His well-being and sorry to have stayed away for so long. Mr. P$nk
