Rruff, very good thought. However, consider that the media sells what it thinks sells to the public. The American public loves salacious stuff. In Europe this happens all the time and the public does not care about this. Take the case of Francois Mitterrand. It was an open secret that he had and continued to have a mistress. The mistress also secured a prominent spot on the official funeral procession right next to the deceased President's wife. And nobody said anything.

Famoly values. religious right are issues that occupy a important position in elections here in the US. Overseas, it is a matter of fact, part of their daily lives. But in the US it is a big deal giving the impression that either they do not have families or they are not religious.

The the US as a nation should look within itself and collectively retune their societal approach
