I would amend both of those to count only members who have logged on to SI in say... the last year. There are multitudes of threads that have been inactive for years that still show hundreds of bookmarks.

Even better, show "total member" and "active member" counts.

That one's a maybe. We used to have a "scoring" system on iHub for members the same way we have for boards. It was removed because it was being abused manipulatively. The demographic there has shifted quite a bit since, and we might be able to reincorporate the feature now. And I think it'd be relatively free from abuse here, too.

David, definitely on the "active vs total" thing. On iHub, the scoring system for boards is something like 1 point for every bookmark plus an additional 2 points for every bookmark that's from a poster who's posted in the past 30 days.
