I agree, rob. Just before arriving at your concluding editorial comments, while still reading the article, the thought running through my mind was ... where have I read similar hype like this before? Wi-Fi is here today; UWB is not. Folks behind UWB can talk the hype all they want, but until UWB is successfully deployed, and deployed with the same ubiquity as Wi-Fi claims today, I for one tend to view early claims of convincing victory with suspect. In that respect, I concur with you that their 10-year horizon is surprisingly lengthy given the overall tone of the article.
