I don't know about cars in the UK but this has gone on with motorcycles for the last 6 years. New prices were dropping and everytime I wanted to trade in my bike for a new one (usually a 2 year event) the spread was worse to the point the last time I said right this is the last one I buy.

Prices are now going up in UK for new bikes. A lot more up. And now I have positive equity in my used bike....I'm still keeping it, zero percent finance...free money!
