My amnesia has lifted. I remember that many (including me) looked at it this way:

He may have had WMDs but he wasn't using them.(Not since he gassed his own people, yada yada yada.)

If he had them then invasion might incite him to use them

We didn't know if he had them.

We wanted internationally supported, ongoing weapons inspections. Coercive inspections, even!

We have coercive inspections now. No international support. 150,000 US weapons inspectors on site. And at a cost of only $4Billion a month! With no exit strategy in sight.

Quite a plan.
Quite a strategy.
What a good job!
What an Administration.
This is why Bush was a cheerleader and not allowed on anybody's team.

There are 4 kinds of managers:
Smart and diligent.
Smart and Lazy.
Dumb and lazy.
Dumb and diligent.

By far, the ones who do the most damage are the dumb and the diligent.
