<This society has been mainline hypoed with fear, since 9-11.> The thing is, it's nothing new. We do it, every war, every time. Today's political climate, the cowed silence of the Democrats, the total lack of any opposition, it's just like during the 1950s. McCarthy waving his lists of "Communists in the State Department". Wilson ran for President promising to keep the U.S. out of the Great War. A little while later, he led us into WWI, and people were being arrested for repeating Wilson's campaign speeches. We just repeat the same mistakes, over and over, compromising our basic principles.
