The number was not determined, but it was being announced that Washington, particularly the Capitol and the White House were possibly being targeted.

But the plane hit the Pentagon Raymond.. It didn't hit, or even target either the White House or Capitol..

Sure they're only 10 seconds flight time from the Pentagon, but the point is that ANYONE can say "Duh.. they hit the WTC, so why wouldn't they hit the White House or Capitol"..

But were those news reports based upon any CONCRETE information obtained by the reporters, or was it off the cuff "shithouse analysis"?

Just because you were out of the loop doesn't mean that the potential for an attack as carried out on Sept. 11 wasn't already a well considered threat.

Hello??!! We also know the potential for dams being blown up, massive waves of suicide bombings against civilian and federal targets.. And I can come up with a myriad of other potential targets the could cause grievous harm to our economy and loss of life.

And that's the problem the intelligence analysts face. There are constant terrorist plots to "do this, or do that".. But maybe 1 out of 100 ever reach implementation stage and are carried out. That's a hell of a lot of intelligence "dirt" to sort through, in hopes of finding that one "diamond" that is credible and able to be stopped.
