OK I've found the scanner left a few out..
I'll do 15 of the top caps tomorrow,...
weighted by cap ( the way index funds are
forced to buy them )..
This will tell the truth about the trend
while some will out do others, and even small caps
may run faster,, as a group the 15 BIG caps
need to out run the index..( not every thing else )
the 15biggest ones compared to the index, = the momentum
set in place by index funds..
-----
When that Mo Mo is up the market will climb..
if that Mo Mo don't go up faster than the index
then the tail is wagging the dog.
---
The big caps are the head, the smaller ones the
tail.
This is not to say some small caps can't lead , but
with real momentum the big caps will at least
beat the index.
-----
Another thing about indexing..and all the funds that
track it..it spreads risk around so much so
that it makes the market inefficient..
Good stocks get sold off along with the dogs..
Indexing is the communistic part of capitalism.

PS I've done OK since last OCT..
and I don't want to give it back. :-)
On an average if I stay in the money on the leaps
I can ( borrow money ) at 1.3% a year..
Shit I get 3 times more than that on my I-bonds..
It's still cheaper to buy the futures than the
stocks. ( if you have faith in this bull run )
