I didn't get to go out to the movies but instead saw two at
home that I never saw before.

The first one was called I Am Sam.
Perhaps you remember that one with Sean Penn playing the
part of mentally challenged dude fighting with the help of his
lawyer (the stunning Michelle Pfeiffer) to regain custody of
his smart 7 year old daughter. I really enjoyed the
cimenatography, direction, and acting. It was done well.
And Penn's character's mentally challenged buddies
helped provide plenty of light hearted humor. I really
enjoyed that one. Enough to run to the PC to look up the
director named Jessie Nelson to see what else she has done.

I rate this one at 4 out of 5 Milk Duds on the Clappy
Entertainment Scale. Perhaps I could add another half of a
Milk Dud for the movie's sound track which featured cover
versions of various Beatles songs.

The next movie that I saw was Signs with Mel Gibson. This
movie provided a different type of entertainment. This
one frightened me a little bit when I allowed it to.
Enough to make me look over my shoulder as I walked the dog
last night before bed. I appreciated having a full moon
to help brighten things a little bit. However, I thought I
saw an alien staring at me from the thick woods. Luckily
the dog finished his business and I walked quickly back to
the house and secured the door.

I give this movie 3 out of 5 Milk Duds.

Do I want to see that Pirate movie?

i saw the trailer for it at whale rider.
the only appeal to me would be the caribbean itself
and maybe some of the old sailing ships.
my friend whom i sailed the gulf of mexico
with last march went to see it last wednesday.
i asked him for a review and have not received
it even though i've heard from him since.
i suspect that i won't be going.
give me your opinion if you do see it.
