I'm not old enough for any entitlements....although lord knows I've paid in more than I will ever realize........and I discussed most of the points you've been discussing with my elderly grandmother before she died. She was self made and comfortably well off as well as adamant about her entitled to SS and medicare. They were guaranteed to her through govt. promises. She paid in all her life......yada yada yada. It might surprise you to know that I agree with a lot of what you say. M
