Talking about Walmart,,,I just went there today and saw some "deep" discounted pure cedar U. S. made planting boxes and barrels.. I'm going back in the morning and get a truck load, likely all the store has..they are selling them for $5..and I know the cedar in them cost at least $10.. ---- I just went out and brought one into my room to look over carefully, they "were" made by the Hayes Company, Watchita Ks,, and now I know why they are being discounted.. 216.239.37.104 The Hayes company is in Chapter 11.. --- Is this part of the deflation GreedSpam was worried about.. I tell you these are nice planters..the small barrel is what I'm going to clean out..1 ft high..15in across the top.. 13-1/2 in bottom..grade #1 Cedar.; 1/2 in tongue and grove and well built. with two heavy metal bands "set into the wood" as binders..and a heavy duty plastic bottom.. Shit these are worth at least $20 apiece.. I know I can't buy the cedar in it at a discount lumber yard for under $10.. ---- Yep I don't know what I'll do wit them, but I'm going in the Morning and buy every damm one they have left, both in Lake Jackson and West Columbia.. Jim PS if they can get me more I'll take a 1000 of them.. But it's Sort of sad..:(
