Hi frankw1900; Re: "Sure, they live Florida in the path of hurricanes ..."

Hurricanes that kill damn few people.

Re: "... and tornados ..."

More people die in bathtubs than are killed by tornados.

Re: "... in California with violent earthquakes ..."

Another example of a threat that kills almost no one. And it's one that is present in many places in the rest of the world and regularly kills far more people. For that matter, you're blithely ignoring all the people who moved away from California because of the earthquakes (I know several).

Re: "... they take up jobs like fire and policemen .."

Damn few of them do this, and you know it.

Re: "... join the army ..."

The military is at the forefront of complaining about Iraq and this is what you come up with. Read on:

Re: "... take extremely dangerous jobs like lumbering ..."

Again, very few people do this.

Re: "... smoke cigarettes ..."

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! LOL!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Re: "... behave heroically during disasters, etc, etc."

The problem is not with what happens during disasters etc., but with how people act during times in which they are perfectly and completely as safe as it is possible to be on this planet which eventually kills 100% of the humans on it.

Re: "But natural forces have no mind. The 9/11 crimes were not committed by a "planet...inherently unsafe and eventually universally fatal," as you dishonestly claim. Not so, instead, thinking men chose to do them. These thinking men also chose to murder large numbers of Shias and other Muslims in Iraq and Pakistan."

This is all true, but it gives zero support for the attack on Iraq. The problem is that our war on terror has not been directed at the terrorists, but instead it has been directed at certain countries that had damn little to do with the WTC attack.

Hey, when we dropped a Predator missile on the car filled with terrorists I was all for it. That was an example of a semi-military action that was effective. The terrorists got theirs, and the innocent civilians were completely left out of it. If our war on terror consisted of that sort of thing I'd be in favor of it. The problem is that we're killing lots of innocent people and damn few guilty ones.
