That's the big question.
Or will they sacrifice someone at the top and let him swing to save the coup? Makes a bad precedent for keeping the rest of the bribed and coerced on the reservation. Kind of like the old Xmas lights, when one goes, the whole string goes.

Dictators throughout history agree, official martial law makes everything much easier, or as W said, "a dictatorship would be easier, if I were the dictator"

It'll be tought to shut down the internet, altho' there are many schemes being planned.

We may get martial law next year, if the election results look too dubious for the Bush junta to continue its assault on the American republic and the rise of the police state/empire.

true. There's a growing backlash to what they have already done. They want Patriot Act II so they don't lose PA I through it's sunset clause. They will have to engineer another terrorist attack because Patriot II is dead right now and people don't want Patriot I. But it seems we are stuck with the American gestapo, the Dept of Homeland Security. And that's very bad. That's like a cancer to liberty eating into our country.
