elpie- at the golf tournament yesterday we shared a ride back to the hotel with one of the golfers (she finished even). anyway, she was telling us how much she likes vancouver - the weather, the course, the people. she was very appreciative of the spectators in particular. i asked her were she was from and she said phoenix. i told her that we had visited her fair city a couple of years ago and that we had from there, embarked on an adventurous 12 hour bus trip to san carlos, mexico. she gave me a level stare and after a moment said "really. i've never done that". it was an interesting exchange. joser
