Hello Energyplay, <<gold shares ... buying puts>>

I feel, or perhaps merely suspect, that buying put is like burning money, and thus my general preference for shorting puts.

In the case of buying puts on gold shares, it is like burning money in sacrificial ceremony to true money;0)

If you feel you must do it, maybe do so at a 1:1 ratio of buying puts and gifting money to family members. The latter will at least remember you at Christmas time:0)
