Hi GST, I just posted this on the NE thread.
I think 20K/year for indian programmer vs. 65K/yr US equivalent works in favor of the US.

Indian outsourcing was sold to US executives as a "90% off deal", which it isn't, and you have the offsite issues to deal with. Its not an apples to apples comparison and to make it worthwhile to offshore a task, it has to be DIRT CHEAP. This article leaves off the extra management costs here to deal with offshoring.

Not that I am against offshoring mind you, I just think the same thing will happen that happened in manufacturing.
