Kerry said that and Clinton followed by bombing every known or suspected Iraqi weapons site. Damage assessment by UN and US military inspectors now proves that the bombings did the job. Did not remove Saddam, but removed much of any imminent danger there might have been previously. Much of Bush's intel he told us about was threefore outdated, going back prior to 1998, even back to the 1980's when Saddam was at his worst.

The imminent threat issue is a huge one, it was the whole basis for going to war in such a hurry, and doing it almost alone.
