Maybe with some meaningful tort reform to rein in the parasitical ambulance chasers, health insurance costs would become more affordable. Ya think????

A few years ago, when Clinton was in office, nobody was complaining about medical malpractice insurance cost. The reason: Insurance companies were making lots of money with their investments so they could justify low premiums. When the market tanked, their reserves declined and they had to raise premiums. Lawsuits were not a significant factor in the premium increase.
