Deficits are always greater in time of war. I will have to check on the details of some of your assertions later, as my time is running out. Right now, I am not sure that the budget is affecting the markets at all........

I believe you are looking for the financial statements of the United States for 2002. Here is the site.

There is one footnote missing from the statements that should be included. It should read: "Live for today." Notice how the present value of the various debts are listed in the thousands of billions.

I have been travelling in the northeastern United States recently and I can report that our citizens are being introduced to "rebar." Unfortunately, it is the rebar that is supposed to be covered by concrete in our highways. It seems to have made its way to the surface.
