Dear Chris: "Hunger is a big reason to do bad things on the international level....." No, I think its Leadership. The Philippines is a 3rd World Nation (after once being the Pearl of the Orient) because of the results of a Dictatorship (Marcos). However, from what I observed Marcos wasnt particularly cruel to his people, he was just a greedy bastard. Thus the people could move freely about etc etc. When I was there I SEARCHED for hunger. I never found it cause the people shared what they have with one another. It was a relatively open society, even then, and so long as Marcos got his "cut" he pretty much left everyone alone. Now in N.K. that guy is a madman bent on being some kind of "Supreme" ruler, much as Saddam was in Iraq, maybe worse, thus the people are afraid to even work with one another. All the monies that pour into NK under many different programs ultimately end up being spent on the Army and the Administration NOT THE PEOPLE. Whats going on now IMHO is he is trying to BLACKMAIL the World and especially the USA for a PAYOFF. Not for his people, but for him and his goons. jdn
