My Naive Pal,

Re: Government is no god doing good

None of us hope it does good. We hope it helps us avoid evil. Recall that when the government relaxed its regulation of the electricity market on the West Coast, that the Swindlers took over.

The biggest, most obvious and most important mistake you make when you keep insisting that "Freedom Works" is that you simply are too naive to realize that markets, left unregulated, are a fetid cesspool of corruption, graft and greed and that your childlike belief system is no match for the cunning of clever criminals like Oil Slick Dick, Kenny Boy and The Little Prince at 1600 Penns.

Your "Freedom Works" mantra is bankrupt. It's the illusory dream of a man who fails to understand human nature. Basically, in American business, the scum also rises. This is the explanation for Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Company.

Freedom is another word for "license to steal". An entirely uncomfortable notion for the real patriots who rail against the Thief-In-Chief and all his baksheesh buddies.

Off with their heads! Vive la France!
