I paid my $199. SI is a lot better than Yahoo and it would be a shame to see it fall apart. I was a life member before, but SI never charged my credit card many many years ago. Jim

hope most stay.. yahoo boards are a joke.. the posting are obnoxious. Not speaking for any particular board just the whole set up...It is frustrating to try to go through the threads. Even if you put some one on avoid they keep coming back with several new names and it is such a complete waste of time..

jim_p, Its frustrating that I'm paying for a lifetime membership again. Paid for a lifetime membership back in 99 but have no way to prove it. $199 is a bargain based on the money and information traded and received from SI. In addition, the charge keeps the most of the crazies from polluting the threads. Michael

I am one of the forward looking pioneers who saw the possibilities of SI for the rational discussion of various issues, therefore I am free for life. SI has now seen how fanatical right wing name callers have ruined what was left of rational discussion, thus this attempt to weed them out. They don't know how to have a cogent discussion, so they are doomed. After they have used up pinhead, traitor, sewer rats, etc., they have no vocabulary left. This is also why they don't have the money to pay SI. Nobody wants to work with them, and they spend all of their waking hours attacking the fine patriotic Americans who saw through the Bush deception, and tried to stop the invasion, instead of earning a living like the rest of us.
