I heard that once you wired an entire network with crossover cable to the switches and it was 3 months before anyone noticed. They had called in 5 experts and blamed the software. They thought they had something to do with the reassignment of SNMP network addresses with Netware across the gateway and then someone tried a different cable, and voila! And when they went looking for you, you were on vacation. When you came back you blamed the assistant. As you put it, "Those kid should know what they are doing, I don't get my hands dirty stringing cable, my job is opitmizing and design".. I guess we will have to fire him and get someone new.." Masterful work. Masterful. I hope to achieve that level of enlightenment someday. It will take study. But the long road is the most rewarding. EC<:-}
