What hubris on the part of those companies. Imagine thinking you can make consumers buy things without letting them know what they are buying. Pig in a poke comes to mind.

I agree with that statement at the end. Prove it is safe and we'll eat it. Especially considering the rampant obesity of the American population at large, Europeans are a little suspicious of these claims of "no danger" re genetically modified foods.

I was surprised to see in my last visit to the US that I am now a size "small". Since I have not lost any weight since the last time I was there, I guess they have changed their sizes to flatter the majority, who would rather think of themselves as "medium" than "large"...
