First of all, nothing in that post of yours "quoted dean himself" as saying he cut the budget. Second, I gave you facts - actual budget figures from which you can calculate the increase during his tenure. I'm sorry you are too ignorant to understand 9th grade math.

As for whether he is a liar, since you've posted nothing that shows he claims to have cut the state budget over his tenure, then I certainly haven't called such nonexistent statement a lie. And if he did make a few cuts in his first year to bring the budget back into balance (as he would surely be required to do under state law), that does not make him a "budget cutting fiscal conservative", especially considering the overall rapid rise in state spending during his tenure, which is fact.
