Bush did NOT give diplomacy a chance to work and there was no 'imminent threat' What do you call all that time spent dithering about with the UN??? Bush, Cheney, and Company used selective intelligence and exagerations to CONvince CONgress and The American people What exaggerations? Be specific? And remember that the claim that Bush "lied" in the SOTU has been shown to be a lie itself......

Without action, we would still be patrolling the North and south no fly zones, protecting the inspectors for another 12 years., with no conclusion in sight Blowing up the radars and missiles Saddam kept adding. There are some who should be happy with the results to date 1. The Kuwaitis who lost relatives and possesions to Iraq, who took the countries gold supply, looted the national treasures, destroyed their property or goods 2. The Kurds who now will have a place of their own and a voice in government 3. The Shiites, who will not get gassed and will get their rightful in government. 4 The Iranians, who get revenge on Saddam for their lost war, and a freedom from threats to their borders or oil. 5 The Saudis, whose oiil fields are no longer at risk and will profit from more stable oil prices.And we can still protect them without having our soldiers contaminate their morals/ethics by living there. . 6. Kurds will now have a safe place to live, instead of becoming refugees in Turkey, but dont expect any appreciation for changing that. 7 Exiled Iraqis, (self or forced) can return to their own homeland or travel to it 8. Israelis, because Saddam can on longer make a name for himself by destroying them. . Unhappy would be Turkey who gave up $30 for nothing Syria because we are closer to them , but who cares whether the Syrians are unhappy. Sig
