need to tinker around with the alternator on the tractor. My kinda guy! I've got an old 2N converted to 12 volts (real trick how I'm using a standard Bosch coil for it) and don't have to tinker with electrics often anymore. Just have to get it unstuck one of these days so I can retire it to the front yard as a running ornament and replace it with something more user-friendly. Preferably a diesel in the 3-5k lb/30-50hp range, live PTO, live lift, and power steering. Saw an old JD the other day I'm thinking might just be the one. 6-foot belly mower and the rear PTO is still available.
