Powell was a good man -- I was saddened to see him humiliated by having to participate in the Iraq charade. Rice came into this administration knowing nothing about terrorism and in way over her head -- she was not qualified for the job and she had not even read basic briefs on terrorism from Sandy Berger, nor did she heed the warnings on terrorism because she was there primarily for affirmative action reasons and to help deal with Russia, where she has some expertise. She should have been shuffled out of the job within a week of 9/11. Old "Wolf" is a cynical, ideologically driven political hack with extremist views. What a team.
