Safer huh? What about North Korea's threat now that we have totally overextended are troops and have half our military committed to Iraq (and still that's not enough). What if NK attacked? We do not have the troops to respond now. And where are Osama, Saddam, WMD's, Omar and the others? The main reason we are not safer is because Bushies do not cooperate with the UN and NATO anymore. We have blown off most of those allies, so they probably aren't as keen about sharing intel or getting involved in our wars. And since we dont have enough troops and they're all exhausted and overworked --- As for being better off, what are you in the oil or weapons business? If so, you're definitely better off. Mortgages too. Those are the three areas. Everyone else is worse off.
