I have not read the Intel reports yet... was out at an "early retirement lunch" for an old, very nice, technician who was "retired" early after 24 yrs... damn layoffs and ahole managers who expanded too fast into grubman fiber telecom markets... Staff of 200 in 2000 now at 50.... but it was sure nice to see some of the old folks who I helped start it all with back in 1984... many good folks "retired early"... Bill and Dave must be spinning in their graves. I think spending recovery is probably coming from the same place the market recovery is strongest... small and micro caps... folks like me who are now looking at replacing desktops with powerful laptops... my W98, 1999 pre Y2K PC is about ready for a replacement... biz is looking better so I've started to look at a replacement. Multiply that by all the small bis in the US...
