As Kerry says, we need the UN and NATO in and US troops gradually brought home. For the troops' safety and our own self-defense especially. The Iraq situation could also harm out ability to recruit troops in the future. If they think they're going to be left in a Road Warrior desert for a year, they're not likely to want to join in.
