Those poll results are interesting. I have read Bush is trying to appeal to gen xers (and apparently, succeeding) who seem to have rebelled against their boomer parents'liberalism...for now, until they wake up and realize this Admin is hurting them where they can most feel it...in their wallets.

The smart guys who keep an eye on the polls (such as the commentators at The Hotline who are featured on C-SPAN's Washington Journal) tell us that the important number to keep an eye on is not the overall job approval number, but rather the "re-elect" number. Which for GWB is current at 40%. A low figure. Bush is definitely in troubled waters with the voters. A reasonably strong Democratic challenge, and a relatively clean election will send the Texas Crime Crowd packing.
