>>The congressman responded by making sure Greenspan understood he was talking about the U.S. economy and that was confirmed. The definition of “moribund” according to Webster is “being in the state of dying: approaching death and being in a state of inactivity or obsolescence”. That sounds to us that this statement more fully expresses how Greenspan really feels about this economy. <<

are you sure you got the word "moribund" right? I cannot believe Greenspan used a word like this<G>

"Endgame for Greenspan" by Rick Ackerman

321gold.com

entertaining, critical, harsh, incredible

Greenspasm claims the USA can thrive with no mfg sector
we should do what we do best
I believe that is to export jobs, debts, and military hardware
as long as foreign fools accept little pieces of paper in exchange for finished advanced products, let's continue the dance

this has all the earmarks of an impending gradual disaster

the Treasury Bond market is extremely smart
they vote on the sniff test, the sanity test
so far since the FedFund shortend rate cut, they are voting IXNAY
from 3.2% to 4.0% rather quickly in the last few weeks

the USDollar has rallied in recent weeks
the federal deficit is ballooning
the trade gap is... well, gaping much wider
jobs are being lost in big numbers
this is shaping up just like summer 1987
