Browzing through old book-marked threads I just stumbled across this. I am very surprised to see no responses because it makes challenging presumptions... "same sex marriage; plural marriages, parent-child marriages, etc. must all be permitted too," Not necessarily. This would be by choice--when it does not challenge higher order values which might overwhelm it in instance. The right of "privacy" is not primary to this, however--at least, not yet...so far as I know. The funny thing about both values and laws is that they often conflict with other values and laws. The figurative equivalent of the stomach approaching the spine...
