US+UN+NATO = safety, power, unity and post-war order. The US alone = all burden on taxpayers and our over-taxed troops. Please get real. Bush's calling the UN "irrelevant" was one of the biggest blunders imaginable. If he had waited 3 weeks he might have gotten UN support. What was the big hurry? What imminent threat? Now our soldiers pay the price, and so do we. His huge deficit projections don't even include the cost of the war. Think about that.
