I can't spell. On the other hand, I decided to consult the old fashioned Websters.

The answer is "dying" if one can think of a company as leaving its physical body(first definition)---alternate definitions are closer to the concept of a company's dying.

"To cut or shape with a die"----refers to dieing.

This is like receive and recieve--often not spelled correctly.
