I don't know. I haven't read Coulter's book. I wasn't planning to.

I know that the Kennedys liked McCarthy well enough, to support him (and let him date JFK's sister). I know that Robert Kennedy had McCarthy become his daughter's god father.

Maybe, McCarthy was a very bad and nasty man. Do you think the Kennedys, just were not very good judges of a man's character?
