Kings Mountain was a key battle between patriot and loyalist troops. The patriots won. About 200 hundred loyalists were killed in the battle and about 800 taken prisoner. It's true some of the loyalist casulties occurred after the loyalist side tried to surrender. That's bad, though it should be noted the patriots were taking revenge against the earlier massacre of patriots who had tried to surrender by British forces commanded by Tarleton. Tarleton got quite a reputation for cruelty - there was a term called "tarleton's quarter" which meant no quarter.

You don't like anti-American. OK, anti-US then. Obviously you do have a big grudge against the US. You seem to be upset the US even came into existence. I think you're carrying a lot of bitterness about old history which you should get over it. It's the 21st century, you know.

Footnote - family tradition says one of my ggg-granddaddies was at Kings Mtn.
