The American People are not stupid!
But they are by and large, ignorant.

That's a little harsh.

Bush supporters want to give him every benefit of the doubt because they are hoping they won't look stupid having supported him. Non supporters of Bush are a little ignorant because they have too much going on in their lives.

However, once the Amer. public gets up to snuff......watch for those polls to hit bottom! ;~)
