There was a war, in some respects, a civil war. Some bad things happen at times like that. The American Revolution was nowhere as violent as it could have been - as say the French Revolution was. I don't know about too many others, say the Mexican, etc. Those Moravaians and Mennonites survived and are still here. I'm glad.

A little funny to see someone who boasts about being the most americano of all americanos championing British imperialism. Strange how things develop.

wait, i forget, what was your point anyway? ... that only your One True Side could have patriots on it? ... gee i dunno about that, i don't think you'll convince quite everybody, any more than you've convinced us all that there are no souls other than US nationals in these Américas

I just used the word patriot. That simply is the word used to describe the rebels against British rule - at least here. Says nothing about whether there are other patriots elsewhere.

Likewise, we call ourselves Americans. A simple fact. Doesn't mean we think there are no other souls in the
Americas as you claim - thats just the straw man you're trying to prop up.

You can go on thinking George Washington was the moral equivalent of bin Ladin. I'm sure I won't convince you otherwise. But I, like most people, will recognize this as a sign of a deep bias.
