I didn't say that they didn't have such ties to Al-Qaeda.

But this is a "war on terror", no matter what group is responsible for target Americans. And it is IRREFUTABLE that Saddam provided support and sanctuary to Abu Nidal and Abu Abbas, both of whom are responsible for the loss of US lives.

But I still believe that groups working as "cut-outs" for Saddam and other terrorist groups used Iraq as a transit and logistics base. Saddam's intelligence agencies would be far too smart to directly be involved in carrying out terrorist attacks against the US.

But they were more than willing to support those who were.

It seems that you are somewhat nostalgic for the days of Saddam's rule in Iraq.

Lemmee guess.. the first thing you would recommend that we do is return him to power??
