Lacking specific points, I can't comment on them. But I'm not surprised and I would guess that you are not either. There's no question that the media likes a good headline. The public likes to read about negative more than positive, so negative sells off the stand better.

I would also suspect that what the troops on the ground are saying are widely divergent as well. What the general opinion of the troops are on the ground, I don't take much stock in what is reported, either by the press or by individuals....plus I'm not sure that much of it is important anyway...I saw one report of some troop whining that he was to go back to college and missed his girl friend, etc... Come on...what's it been 3-4 months? This campaign wasn't exactly the equivalent of the Battle of the Bulge, Normandy..... What a baby! [This particular troop's opinion isn't real important, IMO.]
