Dean is in the "newbie" phase. He needs to polish his act a lot. It's almost all in the first set of primaries. Win those and the money rolls in. Lose them and the checks don't come.

I think rather than the DNC, it's the electorate that won't elect a wing candidate. Bush was to the right during the primaries and moved to a centrist position during the Presidential campaign. He lied a lot, but he moved to a centrist position. He was "positive" about what a great economy it was. [His MBA didn't help him notice that the market bubble had burst] and he told the voters what they wanted to hear...give you your money...is always a winning campaign promise. He didn't say anything about the national debt, but that wouldn't have been a winner.

I think most people have been trained to reject farm subsidies and he sure was against them as a candidate.

Dean can be farther to the left in the primaries than he can be in the final run.

I'm not supporting Dean...I'm not supporting anyone at the moment.

I was unimpressed by the op-ed someone put up going after whether Kerry was honest about whether he was Irish. If that's all the conservatives can come up with on Kerry, he should be safe. The conservatives are inclined for the Willie Horton and child molestation approach to campaign ads. Being Irish or not isn't going anywhere.
