I am sorry, did you say "free"? When did the Iraqis become "free"? This is indeed a breakthrough.

The Iraqis became free about 3 weeks after the US invaded. And it was indeed a breakthrough. That you could say otherwise shows a great lack of understanding for the situation there previously. You read like like a Middle Eastern newspaper that just can't see those massed graves.... the hundred unlicensed newspapers, the lack of political prisoners, the lack of torture, the lack of mukhabarat. The only Iraqis who feel less free are those who were part of the old regime.
